Describe the request
Looking at my personal CO2 footprint - living in a PV-powered house, cycling to a PV-powered company - AI tool usage has probably the largest contribution. I am living in a country that is increasingly struck by consequences of climate change. I experience brown fields and dried rivers on a daily base. Disregarding CO2 and climate change would be a long-term suicide for all of us.
In Cursor AI IDE, i get so far no idea, which AI models run from renewable energies such as solar or wind and which ones do not. I also get no idea how much CO2 each model produces on my prompts, so I can optimize my behaviour.
So there are three things that would be helpful:

Offer eco AI agents, that run on renewables only.

Count CO2 budget while working in cursor and display daily use, so user can optimize.

Have an “Eco” Auto option for AI agent selection optimizing for CO2 footprint.
