Clicking on both the chevron and the top bar of a file that has been edited now both seem to toggle the view of the changes diff, and does not link to the file.

Assuming this is a bug, as it is just less functionality than before. You now can only click on files from the review tab, which is annoying.

Steps to Reproduce
Any file is edited by an agent.

Expected Behavior
Clicking on the file name in the chat should take you to the file. clicking the chevron should open the diff inside the chat.

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known regression. In the current compact chat view, both clicking the card bar and the chevron toggle the inline diff. Opening the file now only works if you click the actual filename text. I can’t share an ETA for a fix yet.

For now, a workaround:

  • Click directly on the filename text, not the rest of the row. That opens the file in the editor.
  • Or open files from the Review tab or from the “N Files Changed” tray at the end of the agent response. File navigation works correctly there.

The changes are still applied to disk either way, so nothing gets lost. If any of this doesn’t work for you, let me know.

Even if I click on the filename, it doesn’t jump to the edited line; this started happening recently—it used to work before. This is crucial—please fix it! Otherwise, we have to open the file, search for the line, etc.—it’s a huge waste of time. Please prioritize this!
It’s happening on Mac for me.

It started working for me too. But I didn’t do any update or anything.
