Embedded Browser tab: scrolling stops working

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The integrated Browser tab is embedded in the main Cursor window (not detached or moved to a separate window). Scrolling stops working — trackpad/mouse wheel and scrollbar do not scroll the page. Clicking sometimes stops working as well.

Steps to Reproduce

I don’t particularly know the exact reproduction steps, but I do know it typically happens when i switch between agent chats and then click on the open in-app browser tab, but it doesn’t happen every time.

A workaround fix is to click on a sibling tab and then click back to the original tab.

Expected Behavior

Scrolling and clicking on in-app browser tabs should always work

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @taulars, This isn’t on your end and shouldn’t happen.

Next time it’s stuck (before you do the sibling-tab fix), could you check and let me know:

  1. Click once inside the page, then press the down arrow or space - does it move?
  2. Click the address bar and hit Enter to reload - does the page come back to life?
  3. Were both agent chats in the same project, and was the Browser tab opened by you or by an agent?

A short screen recording would help a lot if you can grab one.

  1. yes, the page does move up/down with arrows home/end.
  2. Sometimes. There is actually another bug I see where i can’t always refresh the page either by clicking the refresh button or activating the address bar and hitting enter. But scrolling will sometimes still work with the mouse.
  3. I work across multiple projects almost constantly, so it may be related, but I can’t remember/reliably reproduce this issue.
