Hey, I’ll need a bit more info to dig in:

  • Cursor version and OS Cursor Settings > About
  • Which model you’re using GPT-5.5, GPT-5.3 Codex, Auto
  • Does it happen every time or only sometimes
  • Are you on a corporate network, VPN, or proxy Zscaler or similar

For now, try some basic troubleshooting:

  1. Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics and see which checks fail
  2. App Settings Cmd+, or Ctrl+, search for HTTP/2 turn on Disable HTTP/2 and restart Cursor. This often helps on corporate networks and with some VPNs
  3. If you’re using a VPN, try turning it off temporarily and retry the request
