Evolving documentation

I’m somewhat disappointed when I see that the documentation never improves. Just adding a few lines each month would be better than nothing. Don’t tell me that developers don’t like writing documentation. When a developer masters his code, writing documentation is a very natural process. For example, I see in the forum posts about “reasoning steps”, but I can’t figure how to set this option. The forum should not be considered as a replacement for proper documentation.
