Right now, it doesn’t appear that extensions load in the Agent Window. There are quite a few extensions that are really useful for development - I do a lot of databricks work and not having the databricks extension makes Agent Window kind of useless for those workflows. Is that something being planned?

One of our goals with the new Agents Window is to avoid the same constraints we had with VS Code. While we’ll continue to listen to feedback on this, we’d also recommend that folks who depend on VS Code extensions continue using the Editor view when that functionality is needed!
Hi @Colin, we fully understand that choice, but it would be really helpful to allow some kind of customization for the agent window.
I like the agent window overall. But when working on large codebases, I’m used to having something like an icon pack in the files sidebar so I can quickly navigate between folders. With only chevrons as folder markers, the agent window’s file explorer feels so cumbersome that I don’t use it at all.
I know it sounds like a small thing, but when you’re used to a certain way of working, visual cues like this matter. Not having them feels very unnatural.
While we’re on the topic of visual cues: another one is the color theme of the code editor in the agent window. As with the icons, when you’ve used a certain color scheme for 8+ years — one that lets you mentally process a file of code at a glance — suddenly not having that scheme feels unnatural again, and quite ineffective.
Is there any chance of this being supported in the future ?
