Describe the Bug
When I first add my AWS Access Key and Secret Key in Cursor’s AWS Bedrock integration settings, I select the APAC region (ap-south-1) and set the Test Model to an APAC (cross-region inference) model, which initially works. However, after saving and closing the settings, if I reopen the settings panel, Cursor automatically switches and replaces my test model with a US region model. Even when I manually add or re-select my APAC (cross-region inference) model and try to use it, Cursor fails to invoke the model.
I have all relevant models (APAC and US) enabled and available in my AWS Bedrock account for both regions.
Despite this, neither the US region model nor the APAC model functions, and I encounter errors whether using direct APAC cross-region inference models or US region models. Cursor fails to persist my region/model selection and does not allow seamless use of cross-region inference models. (NOTE: I am On Cursor Free Plan)
Steps to Reproduce
1 - Enter valid AWS Access Key and Secret Key.
2 - Set region to ap-south-1 (APAC).
3 - Set a valid APAC cross-region inference model as the test model.
4 - Save settings.
5 - Close and reopen the settings panel.
6 - Observe that the region has shifted back to us-east-1 and the test model to a US region model.
7 - If the APAC model is re-entered, attempts to use it fail even though all model permissions are correct.
8 - Neither the us or apac models are working & i am getting error & i cant use it.
