[Feature Request] Bring back Commit/Push buttons & Configurable Chat Modes

Hi Cursor team, two simple requests:

  1. Git Workflow: The “Create PR” button is not useful for my workflow. Please bring back the Commit/Push buttons or make them configurable in settings.

  2. Chat Modes: Let us toggle/hide specific modes in Chat. I only need Plan and Agent.

That’s it. Keep the UI clean and flexible. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the feature request.

For the first point, the diff panel should offer a few options: Commit, Commit & Push, and Create PR. If you only see Create PR, check if there’s a dropdown arrow next to the button with other actions. Also make sure you’re on the latest version of Cursor. What version are you on right now?

For the second point, the setting to control chat mode visibility to keep only Plan and Agent isn’t available right now.

Let me know if you were able to find Commit or Push in the diff panel.

Version: 3.1.15 (user setup)
VSCode Version: 1.105.1
Commit: 3a67af7b780e0bfc8d32aefa96b8ff1cb8817f80
Date: 2026-04-15T01:46:06.515Z
Layout: glass
Build Type: Stable
Release Track: Default
Electron: 39.8.1
Chromium: 142.0.7444.265
Node.js: 22.22.1
V8: 14.2.231.22-electron.0
OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.26200

I’m on the latest version, but there is no dropdown menu next to the button.

Also, as shown in the attached screenshot, even though I have Commit Attribution enabled and PR Attribution disabled in the settings, I still only see the “Create PR” button. It seems the settings are not reflecting in the UI.
