It’s great we have the existing Google Workspace connectors but we desperately need a Google Chat connector.
This would be a massive benefit for our team. Is one coming along and if so - when?

A Google Chat connector for Grok Bot is something the team is looking at, so keep an eye on the Plugins page in upcoming releases.
To make sure we pass along the right thing: do you want your bot to read and send messages in your Google Chat spaces (similar to how the Gmail connector works for email), or do you want to chat with your bot from inside Google Chat instead of the Grok Bot app?
The second thing. We want to be able to set a team bot live on Google Chat so that people can converse with it and send it work. I am guessing like you do with Slack. If you have an idea of general timeframe that would be most helpful as we could start to build a workaround but we don’t want to sink lots of time into this unless the Google Chat connector is 6 months+ away. Personally being able to act as me in chat is the bigger feature. But being able to message it from chat in the future opens it up for more team collaboration.

To be fair you would make it so it could do both. You might want it to act as you but it is also useful to be able to let people use one of your own bots directly. As long as it does the same as the Slack plugin it will be fine.
+1 from us. We run a restaurant group on Google Workspace and our team lives in Google Chat. We want a team bot live in Google Chat spaces and DMs so people can message it and send it work, the same way the Slack integration works. Reading and posting in spaces as the user would be great too. This is the main thing blocking us from rolling Grok Bot out to the wider team.
