Feature Request: Support ACH Micro-Deposit Verification for US Bank Accounts

Hi Cursor team,

I’m writing to request support for an alternative ACH bank account verification method. Currently, when subscribing to Cursor Pro using a US bank account (ACH), the system only offers instant verification via bank login.

According to Stripe support (see attached correspondence), merchants can choose between two verification methods:

  1. Instant verification (login credentials)

  2. Micro-deposits (manual account entry with verification deposits)

Issue with Current Login Flow:
When attempting to use the instant verification with CitiDirect, after entering correct credentials, the system doesn’t trigger the secondary authentication window that normally appears on CitiDirect’s official website. This prevents successful verification.

Request:
Could you please enable the micro-deposit verification option as an alternative? This would allow users to manually enter routing/account numbers and verify via small test deposits, which is particularly helpful for business bank accounts that may have multi-factor authentication requirements.

This is a Stripe-supported feature that simply needs to be enabled on the merchant side. Many users with corporate banking accounts would benefit from this flexibility.

Thank you for considering this enhancement.

Please help support this issue, it’s currently clogging up our team’s 26-year subscription program, and we expect 500+ accounts to open!

In 2025 we’ll also be able to open subscriptions via ACH using a U.S. bank account.

hi @dewu thank you for your post. As this relates to billing please contact our billing team at [email protected] directly.

We have already reported the issue to [email protected], provided my identity information, and described the problem, but many days have passed with no response! I wonder if it’s an efficiency issue or due to other reasons?
