Figma MCP auth broken in Projects

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

I’m trying to use Figma MCP in a project with cloud agents so the agent pull designs and implement them. But auth just doesn’t work. If I hit “Authenticate” I get a toast saying “Authentication URL unavailable for this cloud MCP server”. If I try to log in via Customize → MCPs → Figma, the Cloud row shows “Error 404: Invalid OAuth error message”, no matter how much I click the retry button, it simply doesn’t work, and there’s no way to re-authenticate.

Steps to Reproduce

1 - Turn on Figma MCP in Cursor
2 - Start a Project with a Cloud Agent
3 - Ask it to implement something from a Figma link
4 - When it needs Figma access, click Authenticate or Authorize

Expected Behavior

Click Authorize → browser opens → I log into Figma → agent can read my file.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey @iancolin!
For now, connecting and using the Figma MCP from a local agent in the Cursor desktop app (rather than a Cloud Agent or Project) should still work, so that’s the quickest way to pull a design right now.

Figma sign-in for Cloud Agents and Projects is currently failing on our side. It’s an issue we’re tracking, and I’ll post back here once it’s sorted.

@mohitjain any news? any workarounds?
