Hi,
When you request for something to be saved in a doc and sent to you, grok does this perfectly you can even click to view its contents but you can’t copy the content without downloading the file first.
can this be looked into??

You’re right that the file viewer only offers Download today, and I’ve passed along the request for a one-click Copy button.
A couple of things that may help right now:
- If the file is a .md or .txt, you should be able to click and drag to highlight the text inside the viewer and copy it with Cmd+C / Ctrl+C. If the file is a .docx or .pdf, highlighting currently doesn’t work in the viewer, and we’re looking into it.
- As a workaround, you can ask the bot to also paste the contents directly into the chat message (for example “and paste the full text here too”). You can then use the Copy action on the message itself.
To make sure we’re chasing the right thing, could you tell me:
- What type of file it was (.docx, .pdf, .md, something else)?
- Whether you’re on the Mac/Windows desktop app or the iPhone app, and the app version
