When Cursor makes changes across many files, it’s difficult to quickly understand which changes matter most during review. It would be useful if changes were automatically classified with labels such as frontend, backend, infrastructure, configuration, or tests, and if high-impact changes were visually distinguished from minor ones.
I’d especially like Cursor to clearly flag sensitive changes database migrations, schema changes, production configuration, or anything touching production infrastructure so they stand out from routine edits.
Is there a feature for this today, or something similar planned?
There isn’t an in-editor version of this today. When you review an agent’s changes in the Agents Window’s Changes view you can filter out test files and deleted files, but there’s no automatic frontend/backend/infra labeling and no risk flag on individual files yet.
Where this does exist is at the pull request level. If your team uses Bugbot, its PR summary includes an overall Low / Medium / High risk rating with a short explanation that specifically calls out things like data handling, auth, and infrastructure changes. PR Routing & Approval can also classify PR risk and route anything above a threshold (or touching paths you mark as sensitive, like migrations or prod config) to a human reviewer.
