For the past two days (24, 25/10), I’ve been continuously experiencing disconnects or connection failures when using Cursor in Agent Auto

I’ve been continuously losing connection to Cursor and can’t use it, whether on Agent Auto or Claude 4.5. Please check and find out the cause for me. I’m currently using it in Vietnam.

Can you please fill out the bug reporting form with as much detail please.

Thank you.

I’ve been facing the same issue for the past 3–4 days, and today was the worst — I couldn’t use the agent at all.

Interestingly, the problem began right after I upgraded my account to Ultra. It’s been really frustrating, and I’m starting to wonder if downgrading might actually resolve it.

I’ve also been experiencing errors for the past 3–4 days.

Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN

It’s not on my end.

today 02.nov.25, i’ve been continuously (every 5 minutes) experiencing disconnects or connection failures when using cursor in agent auto.
i tried everything: restarting countless times, the network, windows defender, reinstalling, etc.
so first was the new agent that answered everything with “i cannot do that”, “i am not allowed”, “i am limited”, etc.
now there is no connection.
i do not like windsurf but… since you push me…

had the exact same. its so frustrating. nothing i can do about it. past 48 hours i missed so much productivity

after hours of investigation from ALL points of view,
i managed to find the source of the “connection” problem.
the tasks given to the agent are too big/large/loaded.
if you split the tasks in small chunks it will work.
i work in small steps now and it works just fine.
the issue is in the windows update.

”The evidence suggests a network filtering interaction between the latest Windows 11 WFP changes, ESET network inspection, and Cursor’s concurrent WebSocket connections.
Freezes occur only under high connection concurrency and disappear for short, single-issue tasks.
Cursor’s network layer likely requires connection throttling or adaptive pooling on Windows 11 to maintain responsiveness during long AI workflows.”
