Freezes that block work

Since yesterday, I’ve been observing these and similar screens for tens of minutes. Operations hang. The internet connection is fine. I’ve tested on two models. It doesn’t seem like the problem is on my end. I hope you can identify and fix the cause.
I’ll also note that GPU usage of 20% or more with Cursor open seems excessive )

Hey, I see a screenshot with “Waiting for Approval”. This is a known issue with the approval dialog in Agent mode.

Try these workarounds:

  1. Legacy Terminal:

    • Settings > Cursor Settings > Agents > Legacy Terminal: turn it on
    • Restart Cursor
  2. Reload the window: CMD/CTRL + Shift + P > Developer: Reload Window

If that doesn’t help, I’ll need some diagnostics:

  • Cursor version: Menu > About Cursor > Copy
  • Request ID from the stuck chat (if available): chat menu on the right > Copy Request ID
  • Console logs: CMD/CTRL + Shift + P > Developer: Toggle Developer Tools > Console tab. Take a screenshot when it gets stuck
  • Network diagnostics: Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics

About GPU at 20%: that can be normal while the agent is working, but if it happens while idle, please also check Process Explorer (CMD/CTRL + Shift + P > Developer: Open Process Explorer).

Let me know how it goes with the workarounds, or send the diagnostics.
