Hi Cursor team. I am having an issue where, when I use Gemini 3, it often works, but sometimes it gets stuck indefinitely and sits there loading. I’m not entirely sure how to reproduce it, but it will get stuck on simple things.

For instance, it will just finish planning, making a plan, and then when I click “build,” it will try to go build the plan but then it gets stuck. Alternatively, it will just get stuck without having built a plan at all. It seems random when it’s getting stuck.

Steps to Reproduce

Like I said in the description, I’m not entirely sure how to reproduce it since it seems random when it gets stuck. It’s not explicitly failing; it’s just spinning forever.

Expected Behavior

I’d expect it to either succeed or fail, not get stuck.

Hey, thanks for the report. We need extra data to catch the hang.

Please:

• Cursor Settings → Network → Run Diagnostics and send a screenshot of the results
• In app Settings Cmd+, search for HTTP/2, enable Disable HTTP/2, restart Cursor, then test again
• Confirm if you use a VPN or corporate proxy. Try without them
• Check if it hangs on other models (e.g., GPT‑5.1, Sonnet) or only on Gemini 3 Pro
• On the next hang, copy the Request ID from the chat menu and send the last 2-3 IDs
• Open Developer: Toggle Developer Tools and send errors from Console
