Gemini fun club

Reading the forum, I get the feeling that Iโ€™m almost the only one who uses Gemini in Cursor. Is there anyone else who uses it as the main model? :eyes:

Although maybe we just have a lot less problems than Claude enjoyers :upside_down_face::upside_down_face::upside_down_face:

While I probably wonโ€™t be using Cursor anymore when the old pricing plan is sunset, as of right now Gemini is pretty nice. I like itโ€™s reasoning, though it does seem to be too hard on itself! It has some problems with tool calls, as well. Itโ€™s not a good replacement for Sonnet (or Opus) yet but it performs okay and it does great with a lot of (file) context.

Gemini has been great overall. I switch between it and o3 from time to time when one starts hallucinating.

Itโ€™s good to have Gemini and o3 if Claude Code struggles, and for planning.

gemini-2.5-flash + web search = underrated, itโ€™s free to use and perfect to collect context in order to plan with grok-4 or 2.5-pro

2.5 Flash with RIPER 5 is also great for research/info gathering.

I thought Gemini wasnโ€™t popular.
