Is it possible for us to set up the GitHub integration with `actions: write` permission? This would allow our cloud agents to be able to run `gh run rerun` to rerun workflows, if needed.

Thanks!

Hi!

Thanks for the request. Currently, the GitHub integration for cloud agents includes read-only access to GitHub Actions, so commands like `gh run rerun` (which require `actions: write`) aren’t supported yet.

We’ve heard this kind of ask from other teams as well, and making GitHub permissions more configurable for cloud agents is something the team is actively considering. We’ll be tracking this post to gauge community interest, which helps our product team prioritize accordingly.

If anyone else finds `actions: write` useful for their cloud agent workflows, feel free to chime in here.

Wanted to chime in to say I’d love to see this added. It would be a nice unlock for cloud agents to be able to rerun failed checks without pushing an empty commit.

For anyone else that’s looking for a workaround for this in the meantime, I’m minting my own PAT with actions write permission, putting it in a secret in the cloud agent environment, and telling the agent to use that token to rerun actions.
