Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
Environment
- Cursor 3.22 (upgraded from 3.11.19, where agent chat text felt correct at Small)
- Linux (Ubuntu,
DISPLAY=:0) - Layout: Agent / Glass (
unifiedAgent) - Plan: Pro
Setting
- Cursor Settings → Agents → Text size = Small
- Confirmed in
~/.config/Cursor/User/settings.json:"cursor.composer.textSizeScale": 0.85
Actual
- Chat body text stays large despite Small and
0.85in settings. - Reload window / toggling Text size does not change transcript typography.
Impact
- Harder to read long agent threads; forces workarounds (e.g. global
window.zoomLevel) that shrink the entire IDE.
Ask
- Restore 3.11 behavior: wire Agents → Text size to Glass agent message rendering, or document if Small is deprecated in Glass.
see the attachment where I compare chats with 3.11 (first) and 3.22 versions (second).
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Cursor Settings → Agents.
- Set Text size to Small.
- Open Agent chat; compare message body text to 3.11 with the same setting (or check
cursor.composer.textSizeScaleis0.85). - Text size in the main agent transcript does not shrink.
Expected Behavior
- Agent transcript (user + assistant markdown) renders noticeably smaller when Text size = Small, as in 3.11.

Additional Information
cursor.composer.textSizeScaledocuments scale relative to ~12px base.- In 3.22 Glass build, the Agents UI appears to write this setting (
chat_text_sizeanalytics / config update), but the main Glass agent transcript does not seem to consume it for markdown rendering (setting persists; UI unchanged).
Does this stop you from using Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue
