Grok Bot 0.56.1 — Agent Computer OK, chat Failed to send / messages disappear

Steps to Reproduce

Cloud Agent Computer works (I can connect / take control / see the screen),
but I cannot send chat messages.

Symptoms:

  • DM: Failed to send
  • Group (X运营): @Grok Bot messages appear then disappear; no reply
  • Weekly usage only 12% (not quota)
  • status.cursor.com: All Systems Operational

Tried:

  • Quit/relaunch
  • Take control and stop hung browser task
  • ping in DM
  • Update / Recover if available

Please do server-side Agent Computer recovery.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

i am having the same issues, were you able to figure this out? even when creating a new bot i have issues

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. Your Agent Computer is fine, so there’s no need to Update, Recover, or Reset. The issue isn’t with it or your setup.

What you’re seeing DM Failed to send, the @mention in the X运营 group appearing and disappearing while the Computer is still accessible is a known service-side issue that affects Grok Bot message processing. Your messages are still accepted and queued, they aren’t lost, and they should be processed once the bot is free. The message disappearing in the group is related to the same thing the group only waits for a bot reply for a limited time, and it stops waiting if the bot doesn’t respond in time.

A couple notes for the future:

  • Don’t create extra bots or do a Reset, it won’t help, and new bots can end up in the same situation.
  • We’re tracking this issue, but I can’t share an exact timeline yet.

If the bot stays silent for a long time, reply here with the bot name and the time of the last message, and we’ll take another look.
