I have the same problem, but interestingly enough, the problem appears even if Cursor is in the foreground all the time and the computer is caffeinated and the display is on all the time.

Your setup literally mimics mine. I do all of those things too.

As a workaround for my use case I installed tailscale on the bot computer to bypass the need for the app being connected.
