On the Grok Bot desktop app, the agent-view homepage sometimes still shows “Approval needed” even though there is nothing to do. Opening Coder shows no pending approval. Stale homepage badge vs a real pending Auto-review.
Steps to Reproduce
Use Grok Bot desktop with multiple agents including Coder. 2) Open the agent-view homepage; observe “Approval needed”. 3) Open Coder. There is nothing to approve.

Homepage should not show “Approval needed” unless that agent actually has a pending approval.

What you describe lines up with an approval that timed out. Approval cards expire after about 10 minutes if they are not answered, and the homepage tile is supposed to clear at that point.
In the meantime, opening the agent and sending it a short message (or restarting the app) should clear a stuck badge.
If you have a spare 15 minutes, this would confirm it for us:
Open Coder and ask it to do something that triggers an approval card, for example an action on your local computer.
Do not click Approve or Deny. Leave the card alone.
Wait about 11 minutes, until the card shows it has expired.
Go back to the homepage and look at Coder’s tile.
Does the tile still say “Approval needed” after step 4? If so, reply with your Grok Bot version (Profile > About) and roughly how long the badge stayed. That would nail it down!

Result after step 4: yes, the homepage tile still said “Approval needed” after the card expired. A later follow-up message in the same chat then cleared the badge. John’s read: this is mainly a problem for expired cards with no follow-up. Expiry alone did not clear the tile; a new message did (same workaround you already noted).
Details:
Agent: Bug/Feature Logger (id 2d28dc6b-2e68-43b1-8974-cf75a08ad260). This was that agent’s tile, not Coder’s. There is no Coder/Hands agent in his sidebar right now.
Surface: iOS (phone). Local computer was disconnected, so this was not a local-computer approval.
Card: John did see an approval card, left it until it expired (~11 minutes), then checked the homepage.
Badge duration: stayed after expiry; cleared when he sent the next message in this chat (minutes later, not hours).
Gaps:
Grok Bot version (Profile > About): not visible from this assistant chat. John can add it if you still need it.
Conversation id from the right-click menu: also not visible from here.

@Colin clarifying so posts #7 and #10 don’t conflict.
Earlier (post #7): we confirmed the bug on a prior build — after an Auto-review card expired with no follow-up, the homepage tile kept the amber “Approval needed” / active indicator until a later message in that chat cleared it.
Today (posts #9–#10), Grok Bot 1.4.0 (6495) on iOS: retested with an Anything → Ask First rule. After the card expired, the amber color and active indicator cleared on their own (screenshot in #10). Preview text about the expired approval can still show, but the sticky “waiting for you / Approval needed” homepage state looks fixed.
Post #9 was historical evidence of the old sticky Coder tile; post #10 is the after-expiry state on this build.
