### Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Grok Bot

### Describe the Bug

Since Oct 25 2026 ~10:40 UTC my Grok Bot computer is broken for all my bots. Every browser tool and screenshot fails with “The box could not confirm that no saved credential is being filled into its browser”. Secret saves fail too. Since a container restart on Oct 26 ~03:42 UTC the computer also has no internet (DNS timeouts; route shows “desktop” with repeated grace\_expired, although “Route traffic through this computer” is OFF). Shell and files still work.

Diagnostics:

- /tmp/sand-supervisor/status.json: {“hostBundlePresent”:true,“hostRunning”:false,“hostVersion”:“78042fa”,“pendingUpgradeVersion”:null,“gatewayDescriptorPresent”:false,“gatewayPidPresent”:false}
- /tmp/sand-host.log is 0 bytes, last modified Oct 25 09:36 UTC.
- Disk 5%, inodes 5%, VNC/noVNC healthy.

This matches Colin’s diagnosis in topic 175929 (host service not responding). Similar: 175848, 173950. Ticket T-I36143, no human reply after ~45 hours. Files are fully backed up.

@Colin could you please restart the host service from the backend, or clear the stuck reset and re-provision my computer (and tell me the snapshot date), and reset the egress route? Thanks!

### Steps to Reproduce

1. Ask any bot to take a screenshot or use the browser: fails with the “saved credential” error.
2. Save a secret through a secret-request card: never saves.
3. Settings \> Update Bot’s Computer: completes, nothing changes.
4. Settings \> Reset Bot’s Computer: “Reset failed … partial state”, computer unchanged (same uptime). Retried several times. No Recover option is shown.
5. Restarting the app and signing out/in: no change.

### Expected Behavior

Browser tools, screenshots and secret saves work, and the computer has internet access. If the computer is broken, Reset or Recover should rebuild it instead of failing.

### Version Information

Built: 2026-10-26T19:10:28.307Z

### Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hi @Nick_van_der_Kloor,

This is on our side, and it’s a known issue the team is tracking. I’ve added your report to it. Your bots’ computer was created on Oct 25, and a background service on it never finished starting on that first boot. That’s why browser actions, screenshots and secret saves fail while Shell and files still work.

From what we can see, no backup of this computer appears to have been made, so a rebuild would most likely start empty. Could you confirm you have copies of everything you need, including anything written through Shell? Happy to try and get you on a fresh computer asap (bots, chats, routines would be preserved).

Hi @Colin, thanks a lot, that’s great news!

Confirmed: I have a full, verified backup of everything I need (workspace, agent files, skills and config, including everything written through Shell), plus an extra backup of the files that changed since. Please go ahead and move me to a fresh computer as soon as possible. I’ll restore the files myself afterwards.

Could you let me know here when it’s done? Thanks!

Great! You should have a working box again. Can you check?

Confirmed, it works again: screenshots, the background service and internet access are all back. Thanks a lot for the quick fix, Colin!
