### Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Grok Bot

### Describe the Bug

Existing support ticket: T-G14112. It has been open for a while with no useful action.

Grok Bot’s cloud computer will not stay up. Platform restore keeps copying ~117GB back into home/box/Projects and fills the disk, so the computer fails to boot. The computer is stuck in a reset/update loop that never works. This issue persist after more than a week of contacting support. Grok Bot is unusable.

Support already grew the disk from 126GB to 252GB. That did not fix it. The next restore still brings Projects back and fills the disk again.

home/box/Projects is a SharePoint mirror. The real files already live in SharePoint. They do not need to be restored onto this computer for the bots to work.

Please rebuild this account’s Grok Bot computer on the backend and skip restoring home/box/Projects (or provision a clean computer with no restore of that tree).

Please do not Reset from the app in a way that drops existing Bots, chats, routines, files, or logins. Please do not tell me to delete the Cursor account. This account has SuperGrok linked. I need the same account kept.
Agents are able to reply via grok app online but not the grok bot app on IOS. Likely requires the virtual machine to be up for messaging through the grok bot app on IOS.

### Steps to Reproduce

1. Computer becomes unreachable / will not boot.
2. Platform restore runs and copies ~117GB into home/box/Projects.
3. Disk fills. Computer fails again.
4. Disk was grown 126GB → 252GB. Same restore loop.
5. Ticket T-G14112 opened. Still waiting on a backend rebuild that skips Projects.

### Expected Behavior

A reachable Grok Bot computer on this same account.
Bots, chats, routines, files, and logins kept.
home/box/Projects not restored from the broken disk image.
SharePoint remains the source of truth for project files.

### Operating System

Windows 10/11
iOS

### Version Information

Grok Bot:
Version 0.63.0
Built Sep 29, 2026

### Additional Information

Timezone: America/Vancouver (Victoria, BC).
Ask: backend rebuild or new computer that does NOT restore home/box/Projects.
I already have an off-box file backup in OneDrive if files need to be copied back after a clean computer.
Please have a human on T-G14112 pick this up. The in-product / email assistant has not actioned it.

### Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hi @KeilMS Thank you for the post. Unfortunately, the complete fix is still pending. However, I can try to wipe the box. Are you okay with that?

A wipe deletes the computer’s files and logins. Bots, chats, and routines stay, because they are not stored on that disk. Lmk if that’s okay and I will proceed!

Hi @kevinn , yes please let’s try that.

There is nothing on the computer I can’t recreate in a few minutes of work so a file delete is worth a shot.

Cheers

@kevinn Further to my previous reply, I think that along with the file deletion, it will be important to delete the cloud backup that persists in the background. I believe the cloud backup is creating the issue by restoring the large files that are crashing the start up process. Simply deleting the files on the virtual machine might not do it on its on. Please let me know if what i’m saying doesn’t add up based on what you can see on your end. Cheers Keil
