### Feature request for product/service

– Other –

### Describe the request

Product: Grok Bot, native group chats, macOS desktop.

Please support, or document the supported way for, a Bot to return files it generates on its computer as native downloadable PDF and image attachments in the group conversation.

Use case: Meal Concierge generates a recipe PDF or recipe image. The user needs the actual file in the conversation, with preview/download/save, rather than a filesystem path or a claim that it was created. PDF generation and delivery are separate steps; successful generation alone does not complete this workflow.

In our tested group-room integration path, PDF/image delivery remains unverified and no supported PDF/image attachment route has been established. A JSON attachment has previously been returned, so this request is specifically about PDF/image delivery, not a claim that all attachments are broken. The exact app build was not captured for this delivery limitation, and we have not established that every client or direct-message route has the same limitation.

The current “Work with Grok Bot” documentation says Bot-to-group handoffs are text-only, while generated files generally appear as previewable/saveable cards:

> **[Work with Grok Bot | Cursor Docs](https://prod.cursor.com/docs/grok-bot/work)**
>
> The day-to-day of working with Bots: create and manage them, message and collaborate, use the shared computer, and automate with skills and routines.

Could you clarify whether this restriction applies to Bot-generated PDFs/images sent back to the user in a group chat? If supported already, please provide the native tool/API or documented workflow, accepted file types/limits, and how the Bot can verify that the file was actually attached to the intended conversation. Otherwise, please add this capability with a clear delivered-file receipt or visible attachment card.

No private recipes, account identifiers, credentials or raw logs are included.

Hey @Effective_Autism, thanks for the suggestion!

A a Bot can already send files it creates (PDFs, images, and other documents) into a group chat as attachment cards you can preview and save. When the Bot replies in the group, ask it to send the recipe PDF or image as an attachment from its computer, rather than describing where it saved the file.

The text-only note in the docs only covers messages one Bot posts into a group from outside the conversation, like a handoff from another chat or a routine. Replies inside the group can carry attachments.

The attachment card showing up in the group is your confirmation it was delivered. If the Bot says it sent a file but no card appears, let us know your Grok Bot app version and we’ll take a look.
