Describe the Bug

This is about the Grok Bot iOS app.

On iOS I tried to copy a portion of a chat message and couldn’t. Long press defaults to “copy” for the entire message, and I can’t select specific text in a sent or received message.

Workaround: none that I can find besides copying the whole message and trimming it somewhere else.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Grok Bot on iOS
  2. Long-press a sent or received message
  3. Observe: default action is copy entire message
  4. Try to select a portion of the text
  5. Observe: no text-selection handles / no range select

Expected Behavior

I expect to hold / tap and drag to select a range of text, then copy just that range — same as iMessage or Slack.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Thanks for the report. This is a known limitation with Grok Bot on iOS — long-press Copy takes the whole message, and there’s no range select yet. Desktop can select normally.

The workaround for now is the one you found: copy the whole message and trim it elsewhere.

I’ve attached this to the existing issue on our side.
