Grok Bot isn’t responding in any bot

Describe the Bug

  • Windows
  • Chief of Staff bot and a new bot: I send “hello” and they don’t reply
  • The Agent Computer screen sometimes shows the desktop, sometimes it shows an empty monitor icon
  • I already tried Reset Agent Computer, signing out, quitting via Task Manager, and restarting the app
  • The routine “WhatsApp Pepi e Interparts” that runs every 5 minutes was active. I can’t pause it because the toggle is locked
  • The normal Grok chat works fine

Please restore the Agent Computer for this account.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Grok Bot on Windows and open the bot “Chief of Staff”.
  2. Send any short message (“hello”, “stop now”, “pause everything”).
  3. The bot doesn’t reply. The last bot message stays “That’s what I’m here for.”
  4. Create a new bot and send “hello”. Same result: no reply.
  5. Open the Agent Computer panel: the desktop is visible, or sometimes you only see a blank monitor icon.
  6. Reset Agent Computer, sign out, fully quit from Task Manager, sign back in. Still no replies.
  7. The routine “WhatsApp Pepi e Interparts” runs every 5 minutes. The Active toggle and Delete are disabled and it says “ask the bot in chat to pause it”, so I can’t turn the routine off.

Expected Behavior

The bot should reply to a simple “hello” after a reset. I should also be able to pause or delete routines from the UI when the bot is unresponsive.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No. Cursor works, but this issue still blocks me.

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. I checked and Agent Computer is fine. It didn’t crash, and it doesn’t need to be restored.

What’s happening is your account hit the weekly included usage limit for Grok Bot. After that, every message and every routine run gets rejected due to the limit. The Windows desktop app doesn’t show this warning yet, so the bots just stay silent. We’re tracking this missing message issue.

Because of that, Reset, Update, or signing out and back in won’t help. They don’t change anything, and Reset can also wipe Agent Computer data. Your bots, files, and sessions are still there, so there’s no need to reset again.

You can see the exact usage and the weekly reset date in Grok Bot > Settings > Usage. Once the limit resets, the bots will start replying again.

About the WhatsApp Pepi e Interparts routine. It runs every 5 minutes, so it used a noticeable part of the limit and will start using it again after the reset. The routine toggle is locked in this version, and we’re tracking that too. As soon as the bot replies again, send a message like pause the WhatsApp Pepi e Interparts routine, or ask it to change the interval to 30 to 60 minutes.

If you need to keep working with the bots before the reset, you can enable On-Demand usage at cursor.com/dashboard/spending using the same account, or switch plans at Sign in.

Let me know if the bots are still silent after the reset.
