# Grok Bot Outlook: add send-as for shared mailboxes

The Outlook connector can’t send as a shared mailbox. In Microsoft 365 my shared ops mailbox sits under my primary account (no separate login). Other tools can send as that shared mailbox; Grok Bot only sends as the signed-in account and has no From / send-as / send-on-behalf option. I need shared-mailbox send-as for tenant and legal mail. Draft-and-paste isn’t enough. This is a serious short coming…

Yes, we definitely need this. I have a couple accounts that I manage, but I only have one login, and it can only access my main login. This would be a great addition.

I was able to get it working for free by using Microsoft 365 entra By creating an application API. Grokbot should be able to walk you through it. Now my bots have access to my shared accounts with no login. Here’s a quick write up from my grokbot.

Hey, thanks for the detailed feature request. I get it. You need the Outlook connector to send and reply as a shared mailbox in Microsoft 365 using Send As or Send on Behalf, not just from the signed-in account. Without this, the shared ops inbox workflow doesn’t work, and draft-and-paste isn’t a good option.

Right now the connector really does only send from the currently signed-in account. There’s no From picker or send-as option yet. I’ve passed this to the team as a new feature request.

The thread is already in Feature Requests, so if anyone else needs this, votes and comments there will help show demand. If there’s an update on this, I’ll reply in the thread.
