I’m not sure if this is already possible via a custom Cursor plugin, but how do I add MCPs? Could you provide guidance on how to integrate them?

Hi @vibeprompter, you don’t need a custom plugin for this. The easiest way is to ask your bot in chat, for example “Add this MCP server: [https://your-server.example.com/mcp](https://your-server.example.com/mcp)”, and include any API key or header it needs. It will confirm the details with you, and the new tools are available from your next message.

A few things to know:

- The bot runs in the cloud, so a remote server needs a URL that’s reachable over the internet. A server listening only on localhost on your Mac won’t work.
- For a local package (like `npx -y <package>`), give the bot that command instead and it will run it on its own computer.
- If your team admin restricts which MCP servers are allowed, a server outside that list won’t be saved.
