Grok Bot repeatedly loses connection during active sessions on Windows. It suddenly switches to “Reconnecting” and displays:
“Showing saved messages”
“This conversation may be out of date and will refresh when the connection returns.”
This happens frequently while I am actively using Grok Bot, not just when initially starting a session. Reconnecting can take a significant amount of time, and retrying does not always resolve it immediately.
Steps to Reproduce
Open Grok Bot on Windows.
Start or continue a conversation/session.
Use Grok Bot normally for an extended session.
During the session, Grok Bot will sometimes suddenly lose its connection.
The app displays “Reconnecting” and “Showing saved messages.”
Wait for the connection to return or attempt to retry/reconnect.
In some cases, reconnection takes a long time.
Expected Behavior
Grok Bot should maintain a stable connection throughout an active session without unexpectedly disconnecting or getting stuck in the “Reconnecting” state.

The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Thanks!
Hey @TURTLE1, thanks for the report, and sorry for the trouble.
Yyour Agent Computer itself is healthy on our side and your bots are safe. What is failing is the lookup your PC does to find the computer’s address. From what we can see, the DNS on your network (Reliance Jio) is timing out or returning “not found” for that address most of the time, which is exactly when the app shows “Reconnecting” and “Showing saved messages”. The lookup happens on your network, so Retry, Recover and Reset do not fix it.
Please try these steps:
Fully quit Grok Bot (right-click the tray icon and choose Quit).
Open Windows Settings, then Network and internet.
Click your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), then click Edit next to “DNS server assignment”.
Choose Manual, turn on IPv4, enter 1.1.1.1 as Preferred DNS and 8.8.8.8 as Alternate DNS, and click Save.
Open Grok Bot again and use it for 15 to 20 minutes.
