I’ve honestly fallen in love with Grok Bot. I run my e-commerce business on my own, which normally means remembering everything and switching between a dozen different hats every day. Now I have a roster of 28 bots, each with its own job. One looks after the website, one handles customer service, one runs Google Ads, one keeps on top of compliance, and so on. Knowing every part of the business has someone responsible for it genuinely helps me sleep at night. It’s the best AI product I’ve used.

The one thing holding it back is context.

Every turn re-reads the whole chat. My busiest bots are now re-reading about 120K tokens just to answer a single line. On Ultra that burns the full weekly pool in about 3 days, then I’m paying around $200 a day in credit until it resets. There’s no tier above Ultra, so the only options are pay more or switch staff off.

The fix should be simple, but on my build there’s no Reset chat, no Duplicate, and a group chat needs two bots. So the only way to give a bot a clean slate is to export its memory, rebuild it as a new bot and hide the old one. That defeats the whole point of having a long running staff member who knows the job.

What I’d love to see:

1. A manual Compact button that summarises the chat, stores the full history in an archive the bot can search when it needs something, and keeps only what matters in the working context.
2. A New session button on the same bot, keeping its memory, skills and routines, with the old thread archived instead of deleted.
3. A visible meter showing how many tokens each bot is carrying per turn, so I can see which staff member needs a reset before it eats the week.
4. A plan above Ultra, or pooled usage for solo operators, for people running a whole business on this.

Any one of the first two would fix most of this for me. Grok Bot is already changing how I run my business. Sorting out context would make it sustainable.
