I’m really hoping this is a bug and not a product decision as this would be a pretty bad break of trust but I updated to the latest version, prompted, and the code came back…not good. Weird. I noticed the prompt hid which model it was using. It was Grok? I’ve posted before that after choosing, and disabling, Grok that Grok sometimes would make getting to the other models a pain but it never straight up HID the fact it was using Grok. Don't hide the other models
But today it was hidden, 100%. I always use Opus latest. Until I saw the code results I didn’t realize this happened. I noticed it didn’t say the model. Open it and Grok is listed which is odd since I disabled it (see screenshot). Even though it’s disabled it still is listed AND used by default.
I would like to know if this is a bug or intentional behavior though or bug.
Steps to Reproduce
Upgrade to latest Cursor and open a new agent. Grok is now your default model but hidden.
Expected Behavior
- My last used model is what model I use each time I open a new agent
- Disabled models do not show in my list
- Disabled models NEVER are used as a default model
- The model I am using is shown
