Grok4.6 doesn't seem to be ready

Describe the Bug

Grok 4.6 has a problem: it treats obviously existing and fully implemented functions as if they don’t exist, ignores asset files referenced by the code as if the files don’t exist, and ignores implemented logic as if the business logic is falsely implemented, thus creating even more fake dead code.

Hey, thanks for the report. To check what’s going on with context, I need a couple things from you:

  1. The Request ID from one of the chats where Grok 4.6 didn’t see existing functions or files. You can get it from the chat menu three dots in the top right > Copy Request ID. Note that if Privacy Mode is on, the Request ID might not be available.
  2. A short, specific example of what the model ignored function or file, whether that file was explicitly added to context, and what effort level or mode you used.

This will help us figure out if context is getting lost on our side, or if the model just isn’t pulling it in. With those details, I can share something concrete with the team.

As a temporary workaround, try explicitly adding the needed files to context using @ and compare the behavior with another model on the same task to see if this is specific to Grok 4.6.

I will echo this sentiment. Grok 4.6 couldn’t even find my project folder. Composer 2.5 picked up immediately and produced killer results. Grok 4.6 is not ready.
