I tried a Reset of my Grok Bot Computer and it’s been 2-3 hours now it’s stuck at Transferring your data. Tbh I only had a few small CSVs so… I tried uninstalling the app, signing out, nothing works. Can anyone point me in the right direction if it happened to you as well? just after i posted this it stopped and went into recovery mode and seems to have reset and recovered ---

Can you help me unstick my grok bot? It stopped responding to me on mobile and desktop so I tried to update computer and now it’s stuck at 43% and won’t cancel. I’d like to preserve my data if at all possible, I’ve been using it to ingest quite a bit of info for me. ---

I’ve run into the same issue here. How did you resolve it? Additional details for Cursor support: this is still unresolved on my account as of September 20, 2026. - Grok Bot desktop version: 0.57.1 - OS: macOS 26.6.2 (25G83) - The computer update remains at 43%, on ‘Transferring your data’ (Chinese UI: 正在转移你的数据). - ‘Getting ready’, ‘Backing up your data’, and ‘Recreating Grok Bot’s computer’ are marked complete. Starting the computer, cleanup, and reconnecting have not started. - The update dialog only offers ‘Continue in Background’; no Recover button or error message is visible there. - Chat messages remain queued as ‘Waiting to send’, so I cannot continue using the bot normally. Could the team check whether the cloud-computer migration is still progressing or has stalled, and advise the safest recovery path that preserves bots, files, and logins? I understand the original poster has recovered, but my computer is still stuck. I am avoiding a second Update or Reset while the current operation is running, as recommended in the recovery documentation. ---

FWIW I was having this same issue. I sent a support ticket in and got a response pretty immediately that this is a known issue. Within a few min the computer went into an “update failed” state, which then allowed me to recover and now I’m back in business. ---

Hi all, Thanks for the reports. We’re aware of an issue where some Grok Bot Computers are failing to fully rehydrate during recreation. Most boxes appear to be coming up on their own eventually, so please check your Grok Bots again. In the meantime, we’re actively investigating and will share an update as soon as we have more information. ---
