Help I am a little stuck

I have this popping up. Tried an uninstall and a reinstall it is still there I am stuck.

@JC_Guppy , which model are you using? I see that Opus 4.6 is having errors but I’ve been using Opus 4.5 all day without incident. Have you tried different models (vs. allowing Auto to select one)?

Its giving me a hard time on all of them

I added the model you are working with and took the others off and it stabilized Ill cruise with this for a while.

Just be aware that Opus can be expensive – I love it, but I’m using it for work. I’ve also had good experiences with Sonnet 4.5 and Composer 1.5 (I see that your account is new here, hence the guidance). Good luck and welcome to the community!

Hey, I can see from the thread that manually selecting a model already helped, so that’s the right workaround.

The “Unable to reach the model provider” error usually means there’s a temporary issue with one of the model providers. If you use Auto mode, it can sometimes route requests to a provider that’s overloaded at the moment. Manually choosing a specific model, like you did, avoids that.

A couple tips for next time:

  • If the error comes back, try switching to a different model manually
  • Go to Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics to confirm your network is OK
