# "Hey Grok" equivalent for "Hey Google" or "Hey Siri" - is this even possible?

### Describe the request

I can call up Gemini at any time by just saying “Hey Google” and it opens Gemini voice mode.

It would be great if I could call up Grok bot with a voice command in the same way.

However, I am not sure if this is possible - the background listener hardware might be hardcoded to only listen for hey google or hey siri.

Hey @Oliver_Michalik, thanks for the suggestion!

You’re right that a custom “Hey Grok” wake word isn’t really possible: iOS and Android only let the built-in assistant listen for a wake word in the background, not regular apps.

The realistic path is going through the system assistant, for example a Siri phrase or the iPhone Action Button that opens a voice chat with your bot directly. No ETA to share but definitely on our radar!

Yes, the action button could be set to start grok voice mode. Currently on Android I can already set it do “digital assistant” and options are: Gemini, Bixby, and Claude  
So Claude can already do this, should not be a hard feature to implement for Grok Bot on Android.
