Hi Cursor, this isn’t just a UI rendering bug. This is a critical bug related to budget checking. Cursor IDE is picking wrong budget for all Cursor users and no budget checking right now. In our enterprise plan, members are still using the API tokens even their monthly budget has been used up. This is very critical. Please fix ASAP.
Hey all!
We’re facing two separate issues here.
- We’re seeing High Load errors on Auto. This has been escalated, and the team is investigating. In the meantime, please try using another named model
- There is an issue with usage limits, both display and enforcement, which we are also investigating.
Thank you for flaggin these issues. We’ll provide updates here.
I’m affected by both errors.
But if I manually switch to Composer, it still gets billed as “Auto,” right?
Hello guys,
The cursor hasn’t been working for a few hours, the agents keep saying “Reconnecting…” and then give the following error. Is this happening to everyone? What can I do to fix it?
(I’m already using Pro version.)
We’re experiencing high demand right now. Please upgrade to Pro or try again in a few moments.

[resource_exhausted] Error
Hey all,
- Auto performance should be recovered. Please try again.
- We are continuing to investigate the issue with usage limits, and this should be resolved soon.
Please prioritize and resolve this issue urgently. We are losing hundreds of dollars every hour because team members’ agents continue consuming tokens from the API token pool even after reaching their spending limits (the agents should switch to the Auto+Composer token pool instead).
dashboard spending is back to normal ![]()
Hey all!
Usage should correctly display in the dashboard again!
We are finishing the rollout of changes to make sure usage limits are correctly applied.
For any user who has concerns about spending that may have occurred during the incident, please contact [email protected]. We won’t be able to handle individual requests in the forum.
Will there be any compensation?!!!It would be great if you guys were as generous as Codex.
Thanks for the update. The usage data now appears to be displaying normally again.
However, during the period when the usage percentage was stuck at 0%, my automation relied on the displayed progress to decide whether there was enough remaining usage to continue running tasks. Because the displayed usage was incorrect, the automation consumed more quota than expected.
Could you please clarify how Cursor plans to handle or compensate for the quota/cost impact caused during the time when the usage display was incorrect?
