Hitting Esc should not wipe out a drafted prompt

Feature request for product/service

Cursor CLI

Describe the request

The other day I’d spent about 10 minutes typing up a detailed prompt in Cursor CLI. Then I accidentally hit Cmd+Space causing Mac OS Spotlight Search to pop up so I hit Esc to dismiss. I mashed it twice on reflex and the second Esc wiped out my prompt with no apparent way to recover it. I spent the next 10 minutes rewriting the prompt in a different editor out of paranoia. Could we please get a confirmation prompt before wiping out an especially large block of input text or else a way to undo? Thank you!

Hey @lyftemployee!

Sorry to hear about that. I have tried reproducing this by hitting the escape key . If you can reproduce it consistently, please let us knwo what version of Cursor you’re using, and if you’re using the Classic Editor or the Agents Window!
