How do add a repo to cursor mobile app if i’m not the original owner of the repo but was invited to it?

i was added to a repo as a contributor and i want to add this repo to my cursor mobile app how do i add it? when i search for the repo it doesn’t show it

Hey, this is about how repo linking works. The mobile app can’t add repos by itself. It only shows what’s already linked to your account on cursor.com via the Cursor GitHub App.

For repos where you were invited as a contributor, there’s a catch. The repo will only show up if the repo owner or an org admin installed the Cursor GitHub App on their account or org and granted that installation access to that specific repo. Your personal GitHub App installation can’t cover someone else’s repos, so there’s nothing you can do on your side.

What you can try:

  • Ask the repo owner or org admin to open GitHub, go to the Cursor GitHub App settings for their account or org, and add the repo under Repository access.
  • Make sure you have access to the repo on GitHub using the same account that’s linked to Cursor.
  • After they grant access, go to cursor.com/agents or the desktop app, refresh or reconnect, then fully close and reopen the mobile app and search for the repo again.

If the repo shows on the web or desktop but not on mobile, tell me. That’s a different case and we can look into it separately.
