In this screenshot in the file editor you can see whitespaces around the sides. How do I get rid of this? Moving the edge is limited to a max size where its currently at. Is this a visual bug or can I fix this myself?
Found it as an option in the settings, but I forgot the exact menu option.
file>preferences>VS code settings> …
Sorry I fogot the last one, but this might help with the search for anyone having the same issue.
I wish you could remember the last part. I checked in the VS Code Settings section for the obvious setting that this “feature” could be named but there was nothing similar to:
”Please waste my time”
”Change my view every time Cursor is updated”
”Annoy me just cuz” or
”Use up screen space for no reason”
I will keep looking………..
Oh - and once you get it in Agent mode, even if you flip back to Editor mode the whitespace is still there.
View > Appearance > Uncheck “Centered Layout” if it is checked. This worked for me. YMMV.
