How do I link a local project to a cloud agent repo?

I’m in the processes of updating all my repos with Cloud Agent config so that I can move them between local and cloud.

I’m currently having this weird issue that one of my projects keeps “disconnecting”. I have an environment.json, it has run successfully as a Cloud Agent, and I can kick off new workflows in the cloud. However, it is listed as a separate project in the Cursor 3 glass sidebar and I can now only kick off cloud agents; no local ones. At the same time I have the local project (same name) as a dedicated project for which I can only kick off local agents; no cloud ones.

Is there an easy way to link them again so I get one project where I can move agents between cloud and local?

Hey, this is a known issue with the Glass project selector. Sometimes it shows the same repo as two separate projects, one cloud-only and one local-only, instead of one combined project.

There was a fix for this recently. Can you check what Cursor version you’re on right now? Help > About or Cmd+Shift+P > About. Please make sure you’re on the latest version.

Also try:

  • Close and reopen the Agents window
  • If that doesn’t help, remove the project from Recents and open it again

If you’re on the latest version and it still happens, let me know and I’ll pass it to the team. That helps with prioritization.

Indeed. Both cloud and local show up as the same project right now. I’ll keep an eye out and file a bug report should that change. (I’m on Cursor 3.0.16 (Universal)).
