How does one continue on from this error?

The only option I seem to see is “Restore Checkpoint” but that will throw away all the work agent has done up to this point (and also I assume charge for it anyway)? Why is there just no continue button? I’d swear there used to be.

I think it was probably grok-code-fast-1, but it usually happens to me on gpt-5-high too, though not often. The context shouldn’t have been overloaded because it was relatively new chat with only few small files attached. And afterwards I resubmitted the prompt and it solved it normally. (No need for new chat). So if this happens, the only option is resubmitting the prompt, and in the process paying for it again? Which is also annoying if agent took a long time to do its thing and already made bunch of changes to files and then suddenly it stops and you’re just suppose to revert everything and go again? I believe I remember sometimes seeing a continue button, though that might be for different network error.

It’s possible there were temporary issues with your internet connection or the model was briefly unavailable. Sending the request again can often fix the problem.

The Continue button used to appear when the context was more limited, but now it’s no longer relevant.

I am having this error for days. Do not know what to do. I reinstall cursor and still does not work.

same here , issue with gpt-5 series models from yesterday in India , malaysia , japan and singapore.
