When using the JetBrains Rider plugin, how can I refer to another chat? Is that even possible?
Hey @MrE10
Referencing another chat isn’t available in the JetBrains integration today - Rider’s @ mentions are JetBrains’ own (files, folders, symbols, images, commits), and Rider chats are stored separately from the Cursor app and CLI, so they can’t be pulled in.
Workaround that works well: ask Cursor in the old chat to “summarize what we decided/changed to docs/handoff.md”, then in a new chat reference it with @file:docs/handoff.md.
You can vote for a shared history across the app, CLI, and JetBrains here: Unified chat store across IDE, CLI, ACP mode.
