Cursor agent implemented some changes recently (not sure exactly when) and my app is no longer working as expected. I want to restore all files to a previous dated version using Cursor’s files Timeline backup feature. Is this possible, or do I need to restore one file at a time test the functioning of my app each time? I asked and Cursor chat doesn’t seem to have access to these Timeline files in order assist me in restoring. If anyone has any better approaches I’d would be grateful to hear (I’m not a developer so please treat with kid gloves). Unfortunately I don’t have any commits to my Github repo yet so restoring from Github isn’t an option. ---

Thanks. I tried this and Checkpoints dont seem to be working for me. My process is below: -Click: “Restore Checkpoint” -“Undo all changes up to this checkpoint” \> Click: “Continue” …My app does not revert to the version that was present at this Checkpoint Do i need to also click “Send” on the prompt message at that checkpoint? Or what am i doing wrong? ---

same. I just lost like 2 days worth of work in uncommitted changes here. using ‘restore checkpoint’ just wiped all my \*\*\*\*. you all just lost yourselves a customer! ---

Hey, don’t you use Git? You can’t rely solely on Cursor, you need to use all the tools. ---

use git! if you are new to git, use the desktop version. it is very easy to use. do a commit every 2-3 Cursor successfully done commands ---
