I am with PRO PLAN and Agent has stopped working

Hi Admin and Everyone,

I am wondering that, I am with PRO Plan as using with Cursor IDE (VsCode). I could not send request anymore from Agent tab. From my perspective, I am with Entry-level plan with access to premium models, unlimited Tab completions, and more.

Best regards,
Thang

Hey, thanks for the report.

To help us diagnose this, could you please share:

  1. Run Network Diagnostics: Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics. What’s the result?
  2. Try logging out and back in: Cursor Settings > log out, then log back in
  3. What exact error do you see when you try to send a request? (a screenshot helps)
  4. Cursor version: Help > About. What version are you on?

If diagnostics shows issues with API/Chat/Agent, please try this: App Settings CMD/CTRL+, > search for “HTTP/2” > enable “Disable HTTP/2”, then restart Cursor.

Let me know what the results show.

I log out and log in but still the same issue. There is a notification as asking me Upgrade for more usage. Get more credits on higher plans.

Please see attached files about the issue.

Best regards,
Thang

I did try with all models and still having the same issue. Agent chat stopped immediately.

Thanks for the screenshots.

Based on the “You’ve hit your usage limit” message, you’ve used up the usage included in your Pro plan ($20 API usage plus any bonus).

This is expected behavior. Here are your options:

  1. Set a Spend Limit to enable on-demand usage (pay as you go)
  2. Upgrade to Pro+ to get more included usage ($70 plus any bonus)
  3. Wait for the next billing cycle for the limit to reset

You can check your current usage and the reset date in the Dashboard: https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=usage

How long has your plan lasted?

Oh, Thanks Dean. I was though I have unlimited request according to my PRO plan. I want to finish my project soon but ran out of quota. I need to wait another 10 days. It’s too long for me.

Best Regards,
Thang

I’m experiencing the same problem, but it says I’ve been using it for the past three days, including today, when that’s not actually the case. I haven’t been able to access the IDE for three days now. I already sent a message to support, and they haven’t responded. This is my first month of subscription, and if this is going to be a recurring problem, then I won’t continue paying for the subscription.
I’ve attached screenshots about that.

I subscribed for few months and my current subscription till 3-Jan-2026 .

I am confused. I could not use at all since yesterday as from 24-Dec-2025 but the chart displayed like

hi @THANG_TRUONG the graph shows no change for last few days. As Dean mentioned you used up your monthly tokens and have the option to switch to On Demand usage or to upgrade to a higher plan or wait until next reset.

Thanks Condor. I am wondering how do i know maximum requests i am eligible according to my plan (PRO)

All plans were moved from Request based pricing to token based pricing in July I believe.

The amount of requests depends on how intensive and efficient you use Agent chats.

here are a few tips:

Thank you.

Plans now barely last a couple of days. So far this month, I have switched from $20 to $60 Pro plan. Hit the limit on both the plans and now on additional $50 usage. This is proving to be too much and very expensive.

Oh it is def expensive now. ive hit my limit, Paying Mid Month + monthly sub but stats dont get reset. you keep paying….

wake up this morning thinking “finally stats been reset and guess what…. nothing” no time or anything.

Reading your comment, it sound like you expect Cursor to operate at a loss, so that your tokens are cheap, and your business can grow.
So while you are working more efficiently, because of Agents and AI, at the same time you expect a company to just give you stuff for free. Thats not how it works, and it was always bound to happen.

@justTil Just to clarify, I’m not asking for anything for free. I’m calling out the sharp increase in pricing. Understanding the context before replying would be appreciated.
