I built a visual AI website prompt library because I was tired of generic AI-generated designs

Hey everyone!

I’ve been building PromptSites.co, a visual library of website designs and prompts for AI coding tools.

One thing that kept bothering me was how often an AI would generate a technically functional website that looked like every other AI-generated SaaS landing page.

I wanted a different workflow: choose the visual result first, then use a prompt to build something in that direction.

So I started building a library where you can browse actual design previews, select something you like, and get a corresponding prompt.

The project has also been an interesting development exercise. I’ve been working with Next.js, PostgreSQL, Cloudflare R2, and AI coding tools to build the catalog and optimize its media-heavy interface.

Some of the prompts are free, and there’s a paid subscription for additional access. I’m the founder.

I’d particularly appreciate feedback from other Cursor users:

When you’re building a website with AI, do you prefer starting with a visual reference or describing the design entirely in text?

Here’s the project: https://promptsites.co

I’d love to hear what you’d improve.
