I can't launch cursor, even though reinstall restart

Describe the Bug

I’m using cursor for over one month.
today(2025-06-13) I recieve an update with a button of restart, then I click it, from the time, I can’t launch Cursor window at all.
Now I have uninstall, restart, but also can’t lauch Cursor window.

Steps to Reproduce

just click the upgrade button

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

I’m not sure the version, but I’m sure I always keep it newest.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, it’s a false alarm,
I just use cursor --verboselaunch it.

it says

Unable to create argv.json configuration file in C:\Users\xxxx\.cursor\argv.json, falling back to defaults (Error: EEXIST: file already exists, mkdir ‘C:\Users\xxxx\.cursor’)

I remember, a week ago, I set it a shortcut ‘C:\Users\xxxx\.cursor‘ to ‘D:/CursorData’, which caused cursor fail to launch.

But my C: driver is almost full, is there any suggests to move cache to D: driver ?
