First using cursor has been awesome!
I’ve gotten a lot done and I feel like I was making a lot of progress, but today that all came to a halt. There’s a few issues I have been having with chat’s not loading, and the browser tab being a bit glitchy, not understanding if it’s putting rules in the right places? It made three different .cursorrules, cursor-rules, and something else for one repository and it’s like it doesn’t understand what it’s capabilities are.
Even when I try to tell it to use the browser tab it will open chrome and I know I could disable chrome, but it’s needed when I have to run something in private view to make sure it’s not a cookies error. (tThough, it would be nice, if the browser could have these things built in and then I could ditch chrome all together. Private Window and Refresh Cookies.)
Anyways sometimes I can just restart Cursor and keep going but, today it just stopped working altogether, and then I transition over to the web agents to try to troubleshoot my problem and it’s just so limited, I’m using an ipad most of the time when I’m away from my computer, but even on the desktop this version is way too stripped down and it also fails to load chat and fails to see screenshots often. And then it will randomly refresh and I have lost chats in the past.
I’ve been exclusively using composer 1 as a reference because everyone says the speed is amazing. And it is. I just think that if theres a button or a ■■■■ that’s in there that I tell it to use, it would know I’m referring to settings and elements inside of Cursor itself. I know I’m still going to have to do a little more handholding, but I’m writing this post because I can’t work on my project.
All in all, what you guys have done is amazing so far and I have faith you will get the kinks worked out, just wanted to give some feedback and hopefully give you guys my experience. But first figure out the chat crashes please!
