Is the Cursor Referral Discount Program Over? Will There Be Future Referral Campaigns?

Hi Cursor team and community,

I noticed that the Cursor referral discount link is no longer working. When I open the referral page, it shows:

“This offer has expired. Referral discounts are no longer available.”

I would like to ask:

  1. Has the Cursor referral discount program officially ended?
  2. Was this only a temporary promotion, or has the referral program been permanently discontinued?
  3. Will Cursor bring back referral discounts or similar promotions in the future?

The referral discount was a great opportunity for new users to try Cursor Pro at a lower cost, and many users found it very helpful.

If there are any upcoming promotions or alternative discounts planned, I would appreciate any information.

Hey, thanks for the request. I’ll reply point by point:

  1. Yes, the referral discount program is officially closed as of July 23, 2026. The message “This offer has expired. Referral discounts are no longer available.” is correct and expected.
  2. Since the program ended, new invites and rewards aren’t available anymore. If you earned referral credits before, they’ll stay on your account and you can use them as usual.
  3. There are no plans to bring referral discounts back right now, and I can’t share any announcements.

Current ways to save: the yearly plan gives a 20% discount, and there’s a separate student discount if you qualify. See Pricing and plans | Cursor Docs
