Grok 4.6 just came out in Cursor. I have custom automations, and right now I have to go in and switch the model on each one by hand whenever a new model ships.
Is there a way to point automations at the newest model automatically, or do they stay pinned until I update them myself?
Hey there! Right now automations stay pinned to the model you pick when you save them. There’s no “always use the latest” option for automations yet, so new releases like Grok 4.6 won’t get picked up automatically. You’ll need to update each automation’s model by hand for now.
This is a real gap and it’s something we’re tracking, partly because auto-bumping the model can quietly change behavior and cost. I’ll post here if that changes. In the meantime, updating them manually is the way to go.
